I recently got a chance to look at this website Cardable. I expected to be bored with just another card site, but that didn’t happen. It was fun, fast, and super easy!

ImageI was lucky enough to finally get the chance to sit down and read A Simple Amish Christmas by Vannetta Chapman. I read this as a part of the Abingdon Press Christmas Blog Tour.

Here’s a synopsis written by Vannetta Chapman about A Simple Amish Christmas: 

Will Annie find acceptance in the Amish community she left behind? Annie Weaver always planned to return home, but the 20-year old RN has lived in Philadelphia for three years now. As her time of Rumschpringe is about to come to an abrupt end, bringing for Annie an overwhelming sense of loneliness. She returns home and finds herself face-to-face with a budding romance with an Amish farmer and Annie has several important choices to make.

I really enjoyed finally getting a chance to open this book up. Earlier this month I reviewed a book The Christmas Quilt that comes after this one, so it left me yearning to know the back story behind Annie. In A Simple Amish Christmas Annie goes away on Rumschpringe and while away receives her RN. During her time away from the Amish, Annie is staying with her aunt and lands a job at a local hospital. When Annie’s dad gets hurt in an accident she goes home to care for him. Throughout her stay at home Annie ends up spending a lot of time with a man who is helping take care of her dad as well. Does this turn into a romance? Does she spend her trip home trying to prove she is able to take care of her father on her own? These are questions that you get to find the answer to throughout this awesome book. I was so excited for the ending, even though I had some hints thanks to the second book. 

I would absolutely recommend this, as well as it’s counterpart!
